Office Consultation & Telephone Advice
Indiana NPA Members are provided with the opportunity to discuss with an attorney any matter potentially affecting nursing licensure. If the matter does not involve nursing licensure, the member will be referred to another attorney with expertise in that area at the members’ expense.
License Defense
Indiana NPA members will only be provided representation to respond to a complaint filed in the Attorney General’s Office against a nurses license and to represent the nurse if Changes are filed against the nurses’ license.
Non-Indiana Members will be refunded the premiums paid to Nurse Protection Association for that year to assist in the cost of your defense. Proper forms must be filled out with proper documentation from the attorney. Member may choose their own attorney but NPA recommends that the attorney has previous experience before the State Board of Nursing.
Exclusions
Any matter that predates membership (ie: if an investigation began prior to membership or if charges were filed against your license prior to becoming eligible for plan benefits.) However, you may still contact us to retain our services for preexisting cases at custom pricing.
Appellate work is not covered.
Any employment related matter including company or statutory benefits.
